lately...

things around here have been kind of... boring. Not boring for me, but boring for other to read about I suppose. ALL 3 babes are sick... you know: runny noses, congestion, and a lot of coughing. Curly Top and Doodlebug have croup... it sounds awful!! It's so sad watching a 3 month old hack up a lung! :(
Thanksgiving was fun, yet rather uneventful... we just had the family over for a great dinner {my MIL makes THE BEST turkey... yum} of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, peas, corn, rolls, and pumpkin & apple pie... everything was {absolutely} delish and then everyone stayed the night... I was planning on taking lots of pictures but due to everyone being sick, it was the last thing on my mind.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! I'm off to lay on the couch...

flashback friday.

So these pictures were taken waaaay back in November of 2005... {I didn't know I was pregnant yet-hence the glass of wine} A group of us who were all friends from the sweatshop {aka LucyB} decided to go out for the night... first we hit up Taps to grab a nice dinner/drinks and then we all went line dancing!!! We had the BEST time and planned on staying longer but Christian (the only male in the group) insisted on "droppin' it like it was hot" and split his pants right down the middle! It was absolutely hysterical and we all left the place with tears streaming down our faces from laughing so hard (in fact, I remember laughing so hard I never snapped a shot of his pants... Christian if you read this, I know you have pics of that night!!! lol)

... ahhh, good times!! :)

here's Lea & I... she's one of the baddest bitches I've ever met!!!

back on the wagon!

So it's official... today I re-joined weight watchers. For some reason though, I'm not feeling all that... excited. I feel like it's not my location and the meetings aren't with my leader {Julie}. I loved my old meeting place and Julie felt like my very own personal cheerleader. I had Gloria who was my "weight watchers buddy". We celebrated our losses together and she made me feel beautiful. I miss her. It's just too far to make the drive on a Wednesday night {in traffic} and with all 3 kids in tow.

Back in December of 2008, I had lost around 25 pounds {over a 4 month period I believe}, but then we found out we were expecting Zachary. I was terrified. I was worried that all of my hard work was going to be swept away. During my pregnancy, I was too busy to really eat all that bad and I was definitely active... due to that, I didn't stray too far. Currently, I'm about 9 pounds away from pre-pregnancy with Zac... {meaning, in 9 pounds, I'll be basically picking up where I left off which really isn't that bad.}

I just feel... frumpy. It's time. Time to make the change. I know I'll be happier once I'm back on track, I just don't feel as motivated this time. I hope something changes. I'll let you know...

What a marvelous plate!!!

I've never loved a plate more
than the very first one
my son brought home from preschool.
It's for Thanksgiving and he made it for his yaya
(Little Miss)
{it looks like he ate his lunch on it though! :) }
that's my boy!!

The sicky couch...

We have a rule in our house:
if you are sick, you get to use the "sicky couch"
{during naptime}
you get to watch extra cartoons
and get extra snuggles
and get extra alone time with mommy...
the only rule
is you have to stay on the couch...
if you get up and start playing,
it's off to your room...
it's Little Miss's turn on the "sicky couch"
here she is with her {two} favorite things:
Piggy & Banky

who dunnit?

So we moved into our house last month and the one room that sits semi-empty (our old dining room table is in there temporarily) is the formal living/dining room in the front of the house... we don't quite know {exactly} how we want to decorate it so we're sitting tight until we decide. Anyway, the husband and I were in the kitchen talking and the house was a little too quiet... {all you parents out there know exactly what I'm talking about...} So I start looking for the kids and what are they doing?? They are perched up on the dining room table, they have shoved everything off of it, and they are playing with a basket of fake apples... So what does any normal mom do? I run to grab my camera start picking up the mess they have created and notice something rather interesting...

apparently {someone} got hungry.
